Went to the new downtown SF Bloomingdale's preview opening today. It opens to the public tomorrow. They were giving away $25 gift cards so I decided it was worth the trip just to check out the space. It was okay. Really not very exciting at all. There are some other new shops opening in the same shopping center that may be worth checking out later.....after the crowds die down. Also want to check out Beard Papa’s which is a strange Japanese cream puff phenomenon. I'm not a big cream puff fan, but can so many people be so wrong? I remember when Krispy Kreme first opened in the bay area - I had to take the family right away, having had them in New York whenever I was there on business. And I am not a donut fan. So maybe this place will change my outlook on cream puffs as well.
